The Farrell 5 love the Holiday Season and the warmth family brings, so what could be better than transforming Ice Cream Bar into a fun, family-oriented Christmas Tree Lot for the holidays?
Well, that’s exactly what we’re doing!
For the three weekends following Thanksgiving, starting on Friday, November 28, 2025, we invite you to join us for the Tree’s &Treats Holiday pop-up event. Experience the festive atmosphere as you browse our selection of beautiful Fraser Firs, enjoy delicious ice cream treats, and fun holiday activities. Bring your loved ones and create memories that will last a lifetime, as we celebrate the spirit of the season.

Why Christmas Trees at an Ice Cream Stand?
Trees and Treats just go together, especially with family. The Farrell Five have always loved the Holidays, and the family traditions that go along with them, particularly our Christmas Tree. As a young couple living in NYC, Rob worked Christmas Tree lots at GreenMarket in Brooklyn and Manhattan during the holiday season; earning extra cash and a joyful boost to the holiday spirit that seemed to lift the entire city. The joy and smiles, especially from kids, at the Christmas Tree lots are contagious, making it impossible not to feel the holiday cheer. Rob continued this tradition, selling upstate trees in the city for many years, each tree with its own unique story and significance. Once the kids were born, heading to the tree lot right after Thanksgiving for the much-anticipated family Christmas tree remains an absolute must; a tradition we continue to look forward to annually, creating new memories each year.
Trees and Treats is a natural fusion of our love for the season and community, and we’re thrilled to be bringing some old-fashioned holiday joy to Ice Cream Bar and the T-Burg community. We invite you to visit us Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on the 3 weekends following Thanksgiving for Trees &Treats @ICB, where you can enjoy the beauty of the trees and delicious treats, and have fun with the whole family.
About Our Trees
Our Trees are all Fraser Firs grown on a farm right here in Trumansburg, NY. These 6-8ft beauties, known for their fragrant aroma and sturdy branches, will be harvested fresh and arrive in our lot just days before we open, ensuring the best quality available. What’s more, Rob is all in on helping harvest and transport these trees to Ice Cream Bar. Fact Drop: Fraser Firs are the most popular Christmas tree, known for their delightful fragrance, sturdy branches that can support a whole bunch of ornaments, and impressive needle retention that allows the tree to stay fresh and vibrant throughout the festive season. In addition to these qualities, Fraser Firs have a beautiful, symmetrical shape that makes them an attractive centerpiece for any home during the holidays, adding warmth and cheer to family gatherings.
Don’t forget the treats:
Of course we’ll have ICE CREAM- vanilla + chocolate soft serve, a selection of hard scooped ice cream and milkshakes. We’ll also have warm treat specials, like brownie or cookie a-la-mode, hot chocolate float, and our affagato.
In addition to ice cream and treats we’ll have a special food menu with soups and chili, in addition to our regular menu of pulled pork, hot dogs, nachos, and hot pretzels. The bar will also be open with hot and cold adult drink specials.
